Founded in 1997, RAILCON is a well established presence in North American Railroad signal design. Because of our dedication to quality and reliability at the highest level, we have had contractual relationships with the majority of Class 1 railroads as well as large scale projects involving many Commuter rail systems on this continent.

RAILCON is located in Montreal Canada, one of the most important cities in North American railroad history. RAILCON has a committed staff of highly experienced Class 1 designers led by the founders Brian Scott (below right) and Andre Richard (below, left).

-Andre Richard, Director of Operations, has in excess of 25 years experience in railway signal design. For 15 years he worked as Senior Circuit Designer in the design office of Canadian National. Then, for 3 years as Manager Signal Design with a large U.S. consulting firm in Jacksonville, Fla., he was primarily involved in implementing design production procedures and quality control assurance. Prior to his involvement in railway signal design Andre worked as a Railway Operator, and in signal construction and maintenance. Andre has a BSEE Accreditation from the Miami State University.

-Brian Scott, Director of Signal Design, has in excess of 27 years experience in railway signal design. For 11 years as a Chief Circuit Designer in the design office of Canadian National, particularly in the comprehensive Great Lakes region, his responsibilities in this capacity included heading a Design Group that produced Technical Specifications, Project Cost estimating and detailed circuit design drawings for wayside signaling systems and automatic highway warning systems. In addition to his design background, Brian also held a Supervisory position in Signal Material Management.
